Concept
A concept is a symbol which stands for a common
characterisitic, or characteristics, possessed by class of objects or events. Thus, the concept of "beauty" represents the quality possessed by all beautiful objects.

A person may think about specific objects and situations. Or his thinking may involve general features of these objects and events.
In the latter case, thinking involves the use of concepts. Thus conceptual thinking is thinking in which concepts are used.

Concepts enable us to divide things into classes. With the concept of beauty, we can sort out objects into classes of "Beautiful things" and "Non beautiful things" there are 2 steps involved into Process of concept formation.

Abstraction
              Finding out common things in different looking objects.

Generalisation
              Generalising from object seen.

  Creative thinking is aimed at producing something novel and desirable. It is found that the creative thinker need not be a person of high intelligence. There are normally 5 stages in creative thinking.  
 
   
Preparation
Thinker fomulates the problem.
Incubation 
This is passive thinking as problem goes in the background.
Illusion 
Thinker has a flash of insight or formation of idea.
Evaluation 
This stage of determining whether the solution is correct one.
Revision
Some time idea in process of illumination is found to be wrong but in some cases the basic idea is correct, but it needs to be modified little.
